Why PGX Testing
Pharmacogenomics is the study of how genes affect a person’s response to drugs. With a simple non-invasive cheek swab, we are able to analyze interactions between medication and gene composition. Results help medical professionals and their patients come up with a drug regimen that will specifically work for them based on their genetic makeup.
Pharmacogenetics testing investigates how the patient’s genes respond to prescribed medication. This will show how each individual patient will metabolize the drugs they are prescribed. Having this test performed will help a doctor prescribe the right drug, at the right dose, the very first time. The results will remain relevant and accurate over the course of the patient’s lifetime.
It is our mission to reduce the number of adverse drug reactions that happen every single day.
