The del bosque family scholarship foundation
The Del Bosque Family Scholarship Foundation (DBFSF) was founded by the Del Bosque Family in Grand Prairie, TX. Being born and raised in Grand Prairie, Founder Mike Del Bosque decided that he wanted to help the community in a special way. Knowing the struggle of financial needs for college in our community, he decided that starting a scholarship fund would be his first step in empowering our community. Once the decision was made, daughter Victoria, and mother Eloisa set out to high schools in Grand Prairie in search of scholarship candidates. We were in search of students who not only wanted to go to college, but also technical schools. We understand that college is not for everyone, so if a skill trade was the way the student wanted to expand their education, we wanted to be there to provide financial support. During the interviewing process, we had a chance to meet all types of students who are diverse in cultures and backgrounds. Starting in the 2016-2017 school year, we awarded students from all over Grand Prairie. The DBFSF selected a total of 30 students from Dubiski Career High School, South Grand Prairie High School, and Grand Prairie High School. Now that the first year is accomplished, we are humbled by the way our family is able to help. The students' reactions when awarded their scholarship makes it all worth while. We are proud of all of our scholarship recipients and look forward to seeing where the future takes them and us!
